Lama Tendar will be conducting a 2 day non-residential Avalokiteshvara and White Tara retreat this Spring at Warburton Lodge, in Warburton. The retreat will focus on the practice of White Tara, the all encompassing Mother of compassion; and will also include teachings on mind training.

The Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, embodies compassion which is the male aspect and Mother Tara embodies the female aspect which is Prajna wisdom, both are enlightened beings. The combination gives us the means of developing our own ultimate nature which is Bodhichitta and Wisdom.
The combined practice of Compassion and Wisdom offers healing to beings who are hurt or wounded either physically, emotionally or mentally. The practice of meditation, mantras and chanting empowers the individual to move away from negativity and towards positivity. It will pacify mental agitation, so that the mind becomes clearer and calmer enabling a more peaceful and tranquil way of being. The meditation practice will enhance everyday life, social interactions and increase optimism.
